Calçado Mirro, a shoemaking company, manufactures lady’s shoes, using flat/levelled or gluing assembly system, with a tradition in personalised shoemaking that goes back to 1961. Most processes are still carried out manually by highly specialised workers.
Founded in 1961 by António dos Santos Monteiros and Maria Fernanda Castro Reis Monteiro, it is a family owned business which has been passed on from generation to generation, and can presently count on Manuel António Reis Monteiro as a board member.
It is mostly focussed on youthful and classical shoes, which include high heels, ballerina flats, among many other. 75 per cent of the company’s production is for export, to countries such as France, Netherlands, Denmark, USA, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom and Poland. The remaining 25% go to the national market.
With a team of 75 employees, ‘Calçado Mirró’ is a modern versatile company, which easily adapts its production to small and large series of shoes.
